Contractors, Municipal and Industrial Facilities Managers remove settled solids faster and more easily than ever with Crisafulli's new, improved, re-engineered dredge - the more powerful and more versatile Rotomite-6000. More power. A 42% Increase in engine horsepower (compared to the Rotomite 180P) to 225 HP increases the power and productivity of all systems on the Rotomite-6000, including an approximate 50% greater thrust from the self-propulsion system. The more powerful John Deere engine enables simultaneous operation of all dredge functions. New operator cab. A new operator cab (with optional air and heat) mounted forward on the dredge for greater visibility, is accessible from either side of the dredge for improved convenience, productivity and safety. Improved controls. Crisafulli engineers redesigned fingertip operator controls to reduce operator fatigue and improve operator alertness and productivity. New Cutterhead. Dual hydraulic motors deliver 11,000 inch-pounds (1243Nm) of digging torque to Crisafulli's new Cobra CutterheadTM. The Cobra Cutterhead combines aggressive hardened teeth with an unique opposing auger design to drive dredged material towards the center of the cutterhead and directly in front of the pump intake for maximum capture of solids, highest efficiency and reduced turbidity. The operator can articulate (rotate 84 degrees) the cutterhead so as to keep the cutting teeth at right angles to the face of the material being dredged, and, with the hydraulically powered ladder, apply almost the full 18,000 pound weight of the Rotomite-6000 to attack compacted, settled wastes.

Portability - On Land - Afloat
With a width of 8.5 feet and a height of 9.58 feet (without the Pivoting Traverse System) Contractors and Facilities Managers can move the Rotomite-6000 at high speeds on highways on a lowboy and meet all DOT regulations regarding vehicle weight, width and height. This feature is important for any customer who must dredge multiple sites at different locations.
Unmatched Versatility

Crisafulli's unique steerable variable speed hydraulically powered propulsion system provides approximately 1,000 pounds of thrust enabling the Rotomite-6000 and its Crisafulli 6" discharge J-Series pump to dredge and process up to 150 cubic yards of sludge and slurries per hour at depths up to 20 feet (standard; deeper in custom models) in a wide range of applications without the cost and delays of a cabled traverse system. Should the operator desire to use a traverse system rather than the Rotomite's self-propulsion feature, Crisafulli's patented Pivoting Traverse SystemTM enables the Rotomite operator to turn the dredge 180 degrees in minutes at the end of each pass without disengaging the cabling system - thereby eliminating down-time and improving productivity up to 48%.

The world's most productive 6" dredge

When used with Crisafulli's patented Pivoting Traverse System and a cabled traverse system, the Rotomite-6000 is approximately 48% more productive than competitive products. It can complete lagoon dredging projects in approximately half the time and save owners close to the entire cost of the Rotomite over several years from reduced operating costs.

Rotomite-6000 Rentals

In addition to sales, Crisafulli offers short-term rentals of its Rotomite-6000.

Some More Features of the Rotomite-6000

Great visibility. Note the Operator's clear view of dredging operations from the forward positioned cab with large windows on all four sides shown above on the Rotomite-6000. The new cab (with optional air and heat) is accessible from either side of the dredge for improved convenience, productivity, and safety. Stern view. The clean lines of the steerable propulsion system and discharge pipe can be seen in the center shot. Note too, the lifting crane positioned to facilitate removing the propulsion system above the water for inspection and maintenance. Cobra Cutterhead. Observe the unique opposing augers of the cutterhead designed to drive dredged material towards the center of the cutterhead and directly in front of the pump intake for maximum capture of solids, highest efficiency and reduced turbidity. Fully articulating, the cutterhead can be rotated 84 degrees on the Rotomite-6000 and 70 degrees on the Rotomite-8000 to attack compacted, settled wastes. Safety guard rails. Note the guard rails on each side of the dredge and flanking the ladder.
